that are being offered at the center. April 22-- Gesture and Movement as Prayer Each month will offer a different prayer form from the rich tradition of our faith. Come share prayer time with others and be led into a space for quiet and reflection. May 3 -- The Garden Way to God - A Sprituality of Gardening The process of caring for a garden teaches us a way of living spiritually as the co-creaters God calls us to be. Presented with Father Bob Pawell, ofm. Fee: $35, lunch and Eucharist included. May 22--Jesus’ Visitation: Thy Kingdom Come! Scripture shows us of his way of seeing, judging, relating, trusting, challenging, exercising power and authority. Presented by Sr. Barbara Breaud. |

The Center is open to people of all faiths who desire a serene meeting place for faith-focused gatherings and retreats, as well as the opportunity for groups to guide their own programs. Just 40 miles from New Orleans, on the Northshore, the Carmelite Spirituality Center offers a tranquil setting for individuals to leave behind everyday worries to "come aside and rest a while." Year-round flowers and star-filled night skies provide a serene setting for reflection, solitude, celebration and leisure helping to create a sense of community among those who visit. |
